Ana of California

Loosely based on the Anne of Green Gables series, this poignant novel follows Ana, a teenage rebel who has just blown her last chance in a foster home. It's a group home after this, and after hearing stories from other kids, she certainly doesn't want to end up there. Instead, she heads to Northern California to help out on a farm that is looking for a helping hand. To her surprise, she enjoys farm life. But when a misunderstanding stirs up trouble, can she put things right again?
