Neither Angel, Nor Beast

The first English translation of noted French writer André Maurois' first work, Ni Angel, Ni Bete (Neither Angel, Nor Beast), this satire follows idealistic Philippe Viniès as he begins his new life and work as an engineer in the small town of Abbeville, through his limited involvement with the Revolution of 1848, and his disillusionment with its outcome.
