I've been waiting for this book for almost six months, and I was expecting a lot, and I got it! I especially loved the ending, as it was totally unexpected and it resolved all the loose ends.

Eh, I was fairly disappointed by the ending. It wasn't bad, it was just dissatisfying. I don't know. Seemed like a lot of lead up to not much. Is it bad that I thought the book should have been significantly shorter?

           The ending was bittersweet for me but it would of been perfect if Calla ended up with Ren. Personally, I think Andrea took the easy way out by killing Ren, so she would obviously end up with Shay. But all in all this was a good ending.

I'm not even sure what to say about this one. I was loving the book right up until THAT happened. (If you read it, you know what I'm talking about.) But, I couldn't judge the entire book on that alone. 

What I will say is that I think the author took the cowards way out... and that makes me sad. And angry.

Guys, guys. The feels in this book! I swear my heart was being ripped out and into a million tiny little pieces! I will be a die hard Ren/Calla shipper until I die. Damn you Andrea Cremer for having this end the way it did! 

I'll be posting a full trilogy review on my channel hopefully tonight on all three of these books. 

I just want more of these characters!

For me it was very difficult to finish the book. I fell in love with the characters in Nightshade and this journey was incredible.

Until I picked up the last part of the trilogy. Most of the chapters excited me, all twists and turns leading up to the final act. The last 5 chapters plainly made me feel sad. Killing off a character so that your MC doesn't have to make a choice is simply unacceptable. Especially in such a way... And the sacrifice one had to make, that was brutal.

I cried reading the Epilogue. Had to put the book down and then re-read the last page. It felt right yet so wrong the way it ended. For some a happy ending like that is satisfying, for me however was a bit strange. I can't yet put my finger on the emotions this book has left me with.

I will, however, always love the Nightshade series.
