The premise is interesting but the writing is quite a chore to read. I wonder if the sentences were written in a way the people in the book would speak in English. The story's setting is obviously heavily based on the Philippines so it takes me out when the expression "po" is not used correctly grammar-wise. The mystery was interesting as to how the kids solved the problem. The ending was bittersweet as well.

           Had to read it for school, so I thought it would be boring, like most books we have to read for school. At first, I thought it was kind of confusing, but the further I got, the more I started to like it. Although, I can't relate to anything in the book, I still liked it. Especially the scenes at the graveyard, I thought were great. I thought the end was great to, with all the money they threw in the air at the belt. It really shows they were very selfless people, and I like that.

Para el que no me conoce soy MUY fanatica de Rooney Mara, hace como 4 años que se llevó mi vida y día a día me inspira la zorra (': Normalmente leo lo que ella dice que lean (bueno, le dice a la madre y yo lo robo del blog) y esta última pelicula que tiene llamada Trash me llamó la atención (sin contar que fue a BR y ESTUVIMOS TAN CERCA). No quiero atormentarlos con el amor que le tengo a esta mujer, pero rompe cualquier tipo de fanatismo. RM me enseñó mucho de la vida.

En fin.

Trash cuenta la historia de 3 chicos que viven en el vertedero (viste en avenida brasil ese basurero enorme? Bueno, algo asi). Y tienen una vida muy mala HASTA QUE encuentran una bolsa con algo especial. La trama es corta porque no quiero contarles que encuentran pero si quiero contarles que es una novela llena de realidad. Cuenta como se vive en la pobreza, estos chicos están sin zapatos la mayoría del tiempo, sin baño, sin comer y muchas más desgracias.

Es una novela que se lee muy rápido, la leí en mi viaje a la costa y me pasó volando el viaje porque me mantuvo muy entretenida. No es una novela que se lleve todo de mí, pero si ha sido muy rápido leerla. Trae un mensaje bastante bonito al final.

Se la recomiendo a cualquiera para un viaje, como yo hice. (De hecho, está barato el libro si sos de Argentina).
