This is my first read of 2017 and I am not creeped out. AT ALL. No, really. Since I'd already read through the first two books in the series, the theme didn't intimidate me like it had, the first time. But I have to say this: Dawn turned out to be the best of the books in the series for me. The subtlety was somehow much darker and hit the right spots. My favorite illustrations remain the ones where the bunnies go out of the way to make special arrangements to develop a set-up where death is contingent upon some other event. It just add to the coldness all around. Winters are an even better time to feel the chills of this book.
