Well. Reading this makes me feel slightly better about the whole heat-death thing.

I thought at first that this would be silly. Genuinely. But I found myself at peace especially with things going on in my own life. This gave me some clarity in how I perceive situations and people. I love love love this & would love to recommend it to literally anyone.

This was absolutely fantastic, talk about mind blowing!

It reminded me of why I love short stories so much!

This is easily one of the most impactful short stories that I’ve ever read. I read it on Tumblr when I was in high school, and I remember being surprised by how profound it ended up being, but I wanted to read it again to see if it had that same impact as it did when I first read it. I think that some people might think of this as simple or pretentious, but I think this story’s beauty is in its simplicity. The idea that all humans on Earth are one organism experiencing itself being reincarnated billions upon billions of times is a profound one, and I love the implication that everything we do to each other, we do to ourselves. I loved the idea of how “all religions have some truth” and how the meaning of life is to mature. It’s all so simple yet so meaningful to me, and I highly recommend this story. I hope for this story to be taught in schools so other young minds may feel it’s impact and gleam something from it. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to experience this story should watch the animated audio adaptation on YouTube (made by Kurzgesagt: https://youtube.com/watch?v=h6fcK_fRY...)

Wow.. Um.. What? Say that again? A story about the universe. You. Me and everyone else.

woah

Hihi I liked the plot twist

My mind just blew up a tiny bit... no words

Read it online years ago, not realizing it was by Andy Weir. The idea appealed to me so much, that I still remember it to this day.

The shortest story with the biggest meaning behind it. Loved every second of it!

Interesting, but my entire reaction was: okay.

Turns out I've actually already read this short story. And I didn't even know it was Andy Weir. Well, things happen.

A mind blowingly good short story!
