Evalene's Number is a sci-fi YA novel set in a dystopian world, similar to The Hunger Games districts & to The Divergent Series. I loved the idea of Numbering people to determine their place in society, I thought it was super original! This story revolves around a young girl who wants to evade the Numbering System and reach the Freelands. Throughout various adventures, she realizes her self-worth ISN'T determined by the number she was assigned (yasss girl💪) This book also reminds us of the importance of choosing our friends wisely, and not to blindly trust the first person who offers us friendship. If you're looking for a quick read in a dystopian setting, you could definitely try out this book (also, the author has signed copies available on her website!) Although it was an entertaining read, it was somewhat too predictable for me, and I couldn't really connect with the characters. I did enjoy the life lessons the author so cleverly included in this book!
