Anna Gaskell
Deemed the Cindy Sherman of her generation, Anna Gaskell has developed a haunting & provocative style of photography that has received international praise. Caesura, Gaskell's first monograph, showcases her most famous series, including her best-known work, "Wonder," which presents Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland from a female perspective, as well as work inspired by horror films such as All About Eve, & Carrie, & the real-life horror of a pediatric nurse convicted of murder in the early 1980s. With such a twisted selection of references, it is no wonder Gaskell's work reveals a strange & tilted world where seduction & fascination go hand in hand.
