I liked reading this book. It was quick and easy, but I didn't find it at all interesting until about halfway in...
Being someone who likes a lot of depth and intrigue, this wasn't my favorite type of story... But I will definitely read the nextbook to see what happens.

This was just ok, nothing to be too excited about. I found the characters mostly to be dull and the end quite predictable. I love the setting and the time era, but this story wasn't as captivating as I'd hoped it would be.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Luxe. First of all, the cover is gorgeous, 
there's gowns, high society beyotches, backstabbing, gossip, sex, secrets, and lies. I loved every Melrose Place-y element and I thought it was funny, well paced, and interesting. I didn't expect to be so engrossed and I'm equally excited that it's a series with two additional books!

The book is basically lie Gossip Girl. With less characters and set in older times. I liked them a lot. They're fun and easy enough to read. They get a little long because they have many plots at once, but I thought they were good books, especially if you're just trying to get into reading and you need an escape.

I'm actually surprised I enjoyed this book so much. I hated so many of the characters - so spoiled and arrogant. The plot was great though. I'm glad there are three more books in the series because I'm not really happy with the way this one ended.

Simply delicious...in details, setting, and plot. Doesn't hurt my cousin-in-law is great friends with the authoer, so we get our hands on these books fairly quick!

Okay so I was honestly surprised by how much I was pulled into and ended up enjoying this book. I'd had my eye on the series for years, but overtime I spotted in on a bookstore shelf I dismissed it as not worth the money. But when I saw it at my local library, I decided to give it a go. And oh my god, it was so good? Like, the concept of starting the book by telling us Elizabeth was going to die, and then forcing you to try and figure out throughout the book what really happened, was incredibly clever. And all the different characters(with the exception of Lina, she was unnecessary) were written and their stories woven together in a way that I was literally dying to know what would happen. It was so intense and dramatic, and I get why some people would think it was overkill, it definitely had a historical-Gossip-Girl vibe to it, but I was really just entertained through the whole thing. So yeah, great read, I'd recommend for historical romance lovers.
