This book is a must read! Its blunt and vivid descriptions of life in occupied Holland during the war are haunting, but it is also extremely eye-opening and moving.

Two words best describe this book for me, "hauntingly poignant." Most people who pick up this book are already quite familiar with the hugely famous diary and the tragic outcome for its author. This book adds to both the scope of the story as well as its heartstring-tugging nature. The only reason that I gave this book four stars instead of five is that some of the sections, most notably the raid of the annex, were unclear. I read that particular section a couple times to figure out where Miep was and how she escaped arrest as well but was not able to figure it out.
Just as Anne Frank's diary is a must read for everyone, i believe that "Anne Frank Remembered" should also be in that category.
