boring zzz

At parts slow, hence the ⭐ ⭐ ⭐, yet very interesting ruminations on creation, god, and the devil. It's a journey into looking at humanity's pain and questioning the role of God and the devil in all of it, given that God is the almighty, the all powerful. Mind twisting at times, slow at times, fun read all around.

At this point I just love Lestat as a character and am already excited to be reading this next installment in the Vampire Chronicles.
Lestat meets with David, the two having parted ways after the end of the previous book, and tells him that he(Lestat) is being stalked by something that he thinks could very well be the Devil himself.
Lestat seems to have become haunted by one of his most recent victims. He implores Lestat to watch out for his daughter as well as help her succeed in her life and her ventures of good.
David is once more told of what has happened to Lestat and believes him. David also points out to Lestat that this being he has seen, the one he believes to possibly be the Devil, may not be evil.
Lestat is found by Dora and surprisingly she knows right away he isn't human and she isnt scared off by that fact. The two begin to talk, Lestat admitting he killed her father.
The Devil has once more come to Lestat, this time sitting down to talk with him, seeming to want Lestat's help with something and to show him both Heaven and Hell, claiming that he himself is not evil.
Lestat gets his first look at heaven and completely enthralled with the sights and the sounds of it all.
To me, it almost seems like God and the Devil have a sort of bet/game going on. Lestat is just an important pawn.
I'm really digging the theological discussion about creation. From God's creation to his making of people. The whole thing is just really good.
To be able to be outside of Time and witnessing things that we people of today can never fully grasp. We get to see evolution through Memnoch's description of the Revalations.
Memnoch spends time among the souls of humans and he wants to help them reach Heaven, even asking God his permission to do so, yet God seems uncaring and Memnoch calls him out on it. Memnoch's role as Devil is to educate and help the souls fully understand God. To teach them and help them move beyond their suffering .
Lestat recounts his tale for Dora,Armand and David. And when he finally shows the veil, Dora takes it and rushes to the church with it.
In the end, it seems Lestat did help Memnoch, however unintentional it was. It seems to have driven Lestat a bit out of his mind at that revelation.

this was one of the best books I've read so far , that talks about the story of creation and all that .. the events, the scenes, the story .. but i got to question the end, Armand was dead for nothing !!! , why was everyone suddenly so happy about the Vail?? , yeah god is true but what about the rest of the tale ?, the unfair death, the arguments, the devil, they just forgot all that and started singing hallelujah !!!! need an answer ...
