Notes on a heartbreak but this is obviously just whining about a man who’s obviously a red flag.

I was ecstatic when I first heard about this book because I thought this is going to be something like Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton. When I first started into it, I was intrigued but then I started to get bored. In the first few pages, Annie described Joe and I’m like this isn’t absolutely the guy you’re going to cry about in the next few pages and it just gets worse and worse. I totally get it, falling for a red flag guy and then you break up and now you’re missing him and want to get back together with him— we’ve all been there. What I honestly needed more are insights about her experience in recovering from a heartbreak or a bad breakup but sadly, I don’t think I have found anything about those here.

Giving it 1.5 stars because there are so many times I wanted to DNF. Why is this too long? Honestly, this could’ve been shorter. I wanted to like this as much as I wanted to, however it just annoyed me thus making me skim a lot of pages. Maybe someday I’ll try to reread this again but maybe never again too.
