Being Attentive Explorations in Practical Theology in Honour of Robert Ellis
Robert Ellis is a distinguished Baptist minister and theologian, who until his retirement in 2021 was a Fellow and then Principal of Regent's Park College, Oxford. Having begun his theological career with a focus on Christian doctrine, he later developed specialisms in the bringing together of theology and film and, more recently, in theology and sport. He is currently a member of the Advisory Council for the Vatican-led project 'Sport at the Service of HUmanity'. Rob Ellis's theological legacy s one of 'aying attention', to the context, to Scripture, to tradition, and to God's action in the world. In this volume, Being Attentive, friends and colleagues have come together and taken the lead from Rob's own work to pursue this theme in a whole range of areas.
