I guess this book is about growing up and the differences between adulthood and childhood. Where life becomes more serious and less creative. I watched the movie years ago so I already knew what was about to happen but it was a good read. 

Being stranded in a desert after a crash, a pilot comes in contact with a captivating young prince who shares his various adventures from planet to planet and his search for what is important in one's life. Few stories are as widely read and is universally cherished by children and adults alike as The Little Prince. For over 75 years the story is philosophical and includes social criticism of the adult world, and this edition includes the original text and beautiful illustrations. A perfect classic for every one's library.

for me it was a book which required some interpretation, which is surely playful, but it turns out your interpretations are wrong, because the hidden meaning is way too simple (you find out throughout reading the book) but maybe that's just me.

Wow… what a book. I didn’t expect this at all. From the first page, it grabs your attention, and it’s such a great way to show what happens to all of us when we become adults. What happens to the child inside of us? We spend our adulthood busy with matters of consequence and forget the joys of life that even a sunrise or sunset can give us, or a flower, or the everyday beauty we find in nature. As of 2026, we are the only planet in the whole universe that we know of that has these things. (The nature and animals part—sunrises and sunsets happen everywhere, but I don’t know if they’re as beautiful as they are on Earth.) Definitely one of my most recommended reads.
