This book was OK. I absolutely LOVED Katherine by Seton and had high hopes for this one. There were many aspects of the book that I enjoyed and really felt drawn in to the setting and characters while the main character was in England. But, once she left for America, the story just seemed to be missing something. 

At times, the plot dragged and I never really connected with any of Elizabeth's children - they were all just interchangeable. I was disappointed that we never did find out exactly what dark secret caused Robert Feake's mental problems. Also, the ending seemed a little abrupt.
