I could just not get into it. 

I have a feeling that the translation was one of the main things that influenced me. I am not much a grammar freak but so many times, sentences just didn't make sense. I was not in love with the story and it lost me so many times. 

Maybe if I had read like 8 years ago as I was recommended this would have been another story.
