Sweet - but not exciting

I like a little more drama in these types of stories. It was a very sweet storyline, and I’m happy with how it ended, but I think the time jumps could have provided more opportunity for exciting scenes. It was simply Matt pining after Ella the entire time and there was never any truly detailed parts where he was trying to move on with his life. I even lost interest when he and Ella finally ended up together. It almost felt weird that she suddenly realized how much she cared for him when she supposedly only had eyes for Sam during the entire time they’d known each other. I think there could have been a better timeline throughout the story that could have helped it play out better, but I did like the premise. I’m also glad that the author touched on infertility issues. It’s a heartbreaking topic that people tend to steer away from because of how controversial and sensitive it is, but it is necessary to shed light on the struggles that result from it.
