Sweet, slow burn romance. Set on a ranch in Texas. There’s a dog. I loved the characters. Holding back a star because the only conflict in the story is a lack of communication between the main characters, and that tends to grind my gears. But I will forgive this one because I liked it so much.

Loved it!

This is one of my favorites by R.S. Grey now! This book had me laughing at one point and angry at another and I loved it all! Jack was the sexy cowboy we all needed him to be in this story and Meredith was hilarious! Meredith really was a great character and didn’t come off as whiny or stuck up, which I can’t stand those types of characters. The over all enemies to lovers theme in books isn’t my favorite but this story kept me reading into the early hours in the morning and I was addicted! 
I rated this 4.5/5 and I didn’t give it a full 5 because it was just a little bit slow at times and the sexual tension was killing me, but with that being said I did still love the slow burn in this book and I don’t typically love when it’s slow slow, but this book gave me everything in the end ! I would definitely recommend reading this is you like her work or if you have never tried anything by her but love a nice romance featuring a cowboy! ( P.S. I’m not the best at reviewing anything, but I hope this helps!)

OMG I LOVED THIS SO SO SO MUCH!!!! I blew through it in one day and couldn’t stop reading. I loved the development, and the slow progression plus the country vibe!! So perfect!! New favorite for sure, I’m already rereading my favorite parts!!

This was another great book by R.S. Grey! Jack and Meredith don't mix and are constantly yelling at each other and I love the funny moments we get because of this. I wasn't sure what to think of Meredith at first. She seemed to be the arrogant devil in the beginning. The more we learned about her, the more I loved her. I was really upset for her when people kept on judging her for her old lifestyle. If they only knew what was happening behind the scenes. Jack is an interesting one from the start. It's clear he likes to have control of everything. He doesn't expect her to get to him the way she does. Could their constant bickering mean something more? Arrogant devil had me laughing out loud and swooning just like Meredith (even though she didn't want to). Another book to prove that you shouldn't judge a book by its covery and maybe even its summary. My favorite character was Edith, Jack's grandmother, she was hilarious. Edith knows more than people think she does. So much fun! If you're looking for romance, humor and a sexy cowboy, this is the book for you!

There are some authors you can always count on to deliver a great story with characters you can't help but fall in love with. R.S. Grey is one of those for me. Arrogant Devil is everything I wanted (and more) in a book. It's a true rom com and I loved every single minute of it. I think I say this every time she releases a new book, but Arrogant Devil just might be my favorite to date. Meredith is the kind of heroine you just can’t help but fall for and root for. Jack was perfectly grumpy and I loved seeing her get through to him without even trying. It was charming and sweet and sexy and I finished with a huge grin on my face and a tear in my eye. 

Arrogant Devil darn near became a one-sitting read for me. I didn't want to stop reading once I started. I fell a little bit more in love with Meredith with every single chapter. She was a fantastic heroine. The more I learned about the way her husband treated her, the more I wanted to go punch him in the throat. And, you know, befriend and hug her. Her drive and determination was wonderful and it made her that much easier to root for. I loved how she buckled down and made the best of her current situation, just being happy to build a life of her own, no matter how different it was from what she was accustomed to. And what better place to find this second chance than at a farm in a small town? A farm with a grumpy owner and a meddling grandmother. Jack was slow to warm up, but he had his reasons. And honestly it didn't take me that long to realize there was a lot more underneath his prickly exterior. 

Meredith's journey in this book just made my heart happy. Her character progression was amazing. She proved she wasn't the princess everyone thought she was and she truly found herself. She also found where she belonged. *swoony sigh* (And let's be honest, Jack's journey was pretty special, too.) As you might've guessed, the other part I LOVED about this book was the romance. Jack and Meredith provided that delicious slow burn I've come to enjoy so much. From the initial animosity to the understanding to the friendship and finally the budding romance, their story was absolutely perfect. I couldn't get enough of these two and their banter and the chemistry I could feel in every scene. Oh, and bonus? The meddling grandma, Edith. I won't say she's my favorite character in the book because I love all the principals, but she was the epitome of a sassy southern woman and I absolutely loved her. 

I could go on forever about the million little things I loved about Arrogant Devil, but I'll spare you. But, if you're looking for your next favorite rom com, you have to pick this one up. It's one of my favorites of the year so far. I only finished it two days ago and I still want to reread it right this second. So much love for this book!

R.S. Grey is a new(ish) to me author. I have read one other book by this author and I loved it so much that I went and bought 2 more of her books but I have not had the time to read them yet. I will be reading them soon.



I absolutely loved Arrogant Devil and I loved the characters. I did love the banter between Jack and Meredith. This story is so very good that I read this one very quickly because I just wanted to continue reading it.



I do recommend this book.

This book was so much fun. If you know me, you know I don’t go for the whole asshat, bad boy thing. BUT for some reason I had a total soft spot for Jack, (despite his ridiculous and outright uncalled for rudeness) and it didn’t take long for me to start feeling for him.

Meredith, on the other hand, delighted me instantly with her snarky comebacks and stubborn/strong persona. Despite having a privileged life for a time, she wasn’t one to let ANY man walk all over her. She stood up for herself when times got tough, and I truly respected her for that.

As with all of RS Grey’s books, expect a wonderful chemistry, hot and steamy times, and lots of laughs. I just can’t get enough of her books!!

If there's one author that I know I can count on to deliver a laugh-out-loud, hilarious, fun romantic comedy, it's R.S. Grey. She nails the humor in her books every time, from the funny banter to the crazy situations that the characters (mainly the heroines) end up in. Meredith was such an endearing heroine and though the hero was hard to like in the beginning, Jack grew on me in the end. If you're looking for the perfect rom-com with cowboys, look no further than this one.

Jack breezes right past me and stomps into the shack so heavily that the fragile walls quake. It'll be a fitting end, both of us suffocating under the rubble. Just as we're gasping for our last breaths, I'll offer to make peace, and very quietly, he'll whisper back, Go to hell.

This quote perfect describes the kind of relationship our dear hero and heroine have, at least in the beginning. Meredith dumps her cheating husband and her cushy life, and the only place she can find a job is on the very hands-on ranch her sister works at. Jack sees her as a pampered baby, and though he's not off the mark, Meredith is determined to be the best housekeeper she can be. To say they get off to a rough start would be an understatement – Jack is arrogant and judgmental, and no one fires him up like Meredith. He doesn't take it too far, but it was hard to like him in the midst of all his asshole-ness.

Slowly, though, as Meredith and Jack get to know one another (thanks to a scheming grandmother and the constant proximity on the ranch), the two form a sort of truce. They becoming friendlier and start to understand each other better. Of course, they try to ignore the underlying attraction between them, but has that ever worked out for anyone? One thing I was surprised by in this book in the best way possible was that the romance was actually a slow burn. There's lots of delicious tension between Meredith and Jack, but R.S. Grey tortures us a little by making their romance a slow and sweet one. I'm glad about the pacing of the romance – it made it that much more enjoyable and believable.

I adored Arrogant Devil. It's got cowboys, humor, and an independent heroine. There wasn't much more I could ask for. This was a fantastic Southern rom-com that I highly recommend for when you're in the mood for something light and funny!
