Nope nope nope. The book felt super American and very not!Douglas Adams. And then I got to that utterly bizarre and inappropriate sex scene between the two black characters that was full of stereotypes and was totally gross and I knew the book was no longer salvageable. If you are a fan of Dirk Gently, this is a VERY different interpretation where Gently is psychic and was part of a military experiment as a child and there are aliens. WTF. NOPE.
