Any book that mentions dementia and Alzheimer’s is a bit difficult for me, as it reminds me of personal things that have happened in the last couple of years. However, even knowing that this book was going to include some of that, I still wanted to give it a read because I’ve heard good things about it. This book definitely gave off some JonBenét Ramsey vibes, I’m thinking that Flowers was maybe inspired by that case and decided to incorporate it into her story. And the ending… I’m still trying to wrap my head around it all. I still have questions and I wish I could get those answers.
