I ended up liking this more than I expected. I was definitely nervous because I’ve seen so many mixed reviews about this book. But I think it set itself up well by splitting the book up in two parts. What I can appreciate was putting it into one book when some authors would have done this as two books. I ended up liking the plus size representation in the book and I can truly say I’ve had a lot of similar thoughts as the FMC. Now what I will say was after investing so much into the book I felt like the end was so rushed. So it flowed pretty well until the end but overall I liked the book.

Good plot; wasn’t crazy about the ending. I feel like there were a lot of loose ends

* 5/5 STARS * I have to say hands down, Ashley Jade is THE best at writing romance novels with plus size heroines. Ever since reading Ruthless Knight by Ashley Jade, the first ever book I read with curvy girl representation I was READY for more from here! And it came in a beautifully wrapped present topped with a bow, and opening it comes the book, The Words. All I have to say is Ashley Jade is the queen at writing about curvy girls who need some appreciation and brooding men who are absolutely ready to give it to them. I effing loved this book.

I want to read this again… for the first time.

if I had a nickel for every time I read the words “cream on my dick” I would have two nickels. It’s not a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.
Anyways, stream “cream on” by aerosmith

I can’t decide if I love or hate this book…? I don’t know if I missed something but the epilogue didn’t explain what happens to either of the characters and the last chapter could’ve been the epilogue tbh

** spoiler alert ** The word by Ashley Jade Lennon had her heart broken by mysterious Phoenix, who had the voice of an angel, the looks of a god and the actions of the devil. An opportunity rises for Lennon to get her revenge and strike back at Phoenix where it hurts the most - his music. This book man. I loved this book, thought I was going to enjoy it but i’m actually OBSESSED. I loved how the “before” was a handful of chapters and really let us know the nitty gritty of the development of L&P’s relationship in the first place. The heartbreak of Lennon’s was so upsetting for her and everything she stood for and felt. The development of the two of them as enemies to lovers (of course my favourite) was gradual, with them finding it difficult to navigate their feelings with the unavoidable chemistry together. Really enjoyed the book overall, looking forward to carrying on reading the other character’s stories! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🔥🔥🔥.5 / 5

That was a good romance, not perfect but it was a good time

idk i hated the characters and also loved them and also wanted to slap them but also give them a hug

I loved this book! I can relate to the feelings that Lennon had about herself and the way she pushed through everything that was thrown at her just make me love her even more. She probably is one of my favourites mc ever. The resilience she had the love she gave to everyone even when sometimes then dont deserve it, she show that even when everything looks bad and ugly you can still find happiness. Now about Phoenix, I love him but in that way that you love an anti-hero, you know? If it would have happen in real life I wouldn't like him, but in the book I love him. I love their story and I'm really excited for Skylar and Menphis's story. And I dont know if it's just me or is there something there between Quinn and Storm? (and I'm in love with this man people)

I need more. Right TF now.
