His jaw clenched and his eyes narrowed. “I apologize.” 

I sighed dramatically. “You know what? That didn’t cut it. I think I deserve a little groveling, don’t you gentlemen agree?”

“Want me to get you a knife?” Dean asked.

“Not just yet,” I said and opened the slit in my skirt a little wider, revealing my leg, but most importantly, my flirty red pump. “These are Jimmy Choo. They’re fucking gorgeous and make me feel like a princess. Maura is the boss. She is a boss bitch and let’s be honest, the biggest aura in the room. She is captivating and ruthless when it’s deserved. Even throughout all of the “mob shit,” as she refers it to - she still cares very deeply for her family; and for those who have been wronged. She focuses all of her energy on her part in the family business and her team that she puts her needs by the wayside. Things change, and she finds herself in more of a vulnerable position. Secrets come to light, and she has to choose a side. That side NEVER will see her bowing down to anyone. She is the Banphrionsa after all.

“Endure the Pain,” is book two in the Maura Quinn Series by Ashley N Rostek. It is grappling. It’s dark. Moody, and not short of the action it deserved. It surrounds Maura and her role in the family business - which is in the New England Irish Mob. It picks up where it left off in the cliffhanger that was jaw dropping in book one. It brought her closer to her men - but is it also their demise? It was nothing short of a five alarm fire in regards to heat. Are they looking for a 4th? (wink) I am anxious for book three ASAP because I need to know what happens next. Ashley you are a ROCKSTAR. I am so stoked about this series and can’t wait for more!

Book 2 in the Maura Quinn series was even crazier than the first. I love a mafia series that isn’t afraid to have blood gore and darkness and isn’t just about romance. This book adds another person into romance mix and I loved that and where it’s going. It ends with a crazy cliffhanger and I can’t wait for the next book!
