A cute paranormal romance with an ever-changing pace, no definitive rhythm, and characters I simply couldn't care about.

** spoiler alert ** Written by Ashlyn Chase, Flirting Under a Full Moon follows PI, and werewolf, Nick as he is hired to find a missing girl and Brandee, the local bar keep who has had her fortune read, and Nick is in her future. I really don’t recommend this story. I just… don’t. Below, are the comments I had as I was reading this novel, and may they give you incite. “That sucks” isn’t offensive language. And is Katie Brandee’s cousin or niece? Who edited this?? The aggressive Mother Nature character not only barely works for the story – but she is horribly annoying. Sure, maybe she is a foil for both Nick and Brandee, but it just doesn’t work. Then we go from wearing slacks to wearing a skirt. I just… I don’t understand the inconsistencies and they remove me from the story. And the fact that we don’t ever get the realization that she is Nick’s mate, just that he suddenly sees her that way, yet we get Brandee’s thought process on him declaring she is his girlfriend and how that shows he has changed. The inconsistencies! Did you turn the girl into a vampire, or did the evil nobleman! PLEASE, LEARN TO BE CONSISTENT IN YOUR STORY. Was he a cop for a long time, or a short time? He said he had only just started as a cop when his brother got the bad rep. Which is it? Beyond that, aren’t the Balog’s humans? Like, at least their son is. Last big complaint – not a fan of Brandee forcing herself to use a nickname for Nick. Like, his name IS fine. Nope. Not done. YOU COULD JUST TURN HER INTO A WEREWOLF INSTEAD OF HER BECOMING A MUSE, THIS MAKES NO SENSE.
