"I got headbutted," he answers quietly and I feel my eyes narrow. Aren't you supposed to headbutt somebody on their forehead, not their lip? What a can't-get-right.

"They're about to get got," I assure him and his lips pull up into the most gorgeous smirk I've ever seen in my whole entire life.

"Bring it in," she raises her arms and I find myself getting excited.

I bend and her arms wrap around my neck. I stand straight up and her legs dangle.

I look at the shirt he gave me. It's a plain white t-shirt with a whole bunch of black words on the back. Something about the FBI.

I'm not an FBI agent because I'm wearing this.

I wish I couldn't relate but I can haha my hair is way too heavy

I put my hair up in a bun but halfway through twisting it my arms get tired and I have to lean over against the sink to rest my arms for a second. I have noodle arms.

"I know you think I'll hurt you. I know you do," he pulls away looking into my eyes, "I've already done it way too many times. And I've got a lot to learn about this but I

"Grey," I start as soft as a whisper placing my hand on the side of his face.

"I want to fall in love with you," he whispers.

It hits different when the girl isn't called 

"I was jealous. That's why I ignored you. Aaron and you seem close," he grumbles the last sentence and I come to a realization.

"You're mine, not him ," I blurt. His eyes fall on me and they're oddly lit up. The most heartstopping smile takes onto his lips. A real smile. I nearly fall out of his arms.

"I'm yours," his lips make contact with my neck.

As the sun finally falls below the horizon, I figure I should get up. A poop is sturring which played a factor in the decision but it's also getting chilly.

"If it came down to it," he nods and I almost get teary-eyed.

"Okay yeah so here's the deal. At the party last night I saw Aaron and we talked for a second and then, you're just going to love this part, he like, well he tried kissing me," I just say it flat out and lean back to see his reaction.

His face becomes void of any recognizable emotion and he leans fully back in his chair. He runs his hand down his jaw.

"... What're you thinking?" I question him softly.

"Where's he at right now?" he asks calmly.

"I'm not sure," I tell him honestly and he nods.

lilah lived in an abusive household since her brother jake died. the cause of his death was lilah wanted ice cream and they crashed the car and yeah. their parents have always favored jake (on vacations they’d only offer jake to come but he never would cause he felt bad for lilah). one day, as lilah is on her way to buy her dad more alcohol she comes across a dude on a bench. she can’t really see him because it’s dark out but he INTENTIONALLY trips her cause he finds her hot😘
idk what happens next tbh but they go to a milkshake shop together and he „hates“ her for always speaking.
his name is grey kingston and he’s an FAA agent or something (fbi). he works with many people (theo [freak], jai [hot server at their bar], sanfred/oaklee [always calls lilah babydoll❤️], lincoln [has a hot mom], roman [the closets person to grey/quieter], maxon [has a big ass], jonas [small peepee/ banter with lilah], jacqueline [sa‘d theo/bitch/flirts with everyone/gets fired]. when lilah isn’t with grey she’s at home getting beaten or at mr. terrips shop helping him out. she also has a best friend named aaron but later on when grey and lilah get together she sees him at a college party and he tries kissing her. lilah feels weird and tells grey, she tells aaron to come over, grey beats him up, aaron says lilah was asking for it. safe to say their friendship is over. now her bestie is abby, later on roman’s gf!! grey finds out about azaleas home situation, beats her father to a pulp and puts him into prison. her mother is thankful and offers lilah to move to somewhere else. azalea doesn’t go and stays with grey long term. i forgot to mention that lilah and grey once had a big fight where lilah wanted to live on mr. terrips couch cause the fight was so bad (aaron told grey he didn’t deserve lilah, they were never gonna last, yata yata. grey flipped out and took his anger out on azalea when she asked what was wrong. he has commitment issues. his dad is also a ducking bastard and called lilah the r-word.) they make up, make out. lilah some day wants to go to college and she gets the congratulations letter. grey can’t live without her for 5 minutes but he lets her be free. they have a dog named bear and a new kitten named princess eleanora caroline kingston because lilah wanted one and our millionaire grey gets her everything she wants. they have a beach wedding. HAPPY EVER AFTER!!

i love this with my whole fucking heart and when i tell you i would happily read hundreds of thousands of chapters of pure filler or fluff, i mean it. i should’ve read this one sooner but for some reason i’d put it off, big mistake, but i’m so glad i’ve read it now and will likely reread multiple times. i’m this close to sobbing purely from the fact that it’s over…

This book surely carried me on a little journey tho I took over 2 months to finish this (unusually kinda placed me in a slump but i still managed to get throughthe book) I loved the book regardless Lilah & Grey are just so awwwee I love her I love him for her I love them I love the guys>>> love the lil story I enjoyed they made me cry twice and I definitely laughed alot omgg LILAH is soo frickingggggggg funny I love her ❤️ edit :( i don't remember crying lol )

At the beginning its a little slow but its the BEST grumpy-sunshine that i've read. She's one of the strongest female carachters that not only went true a lot but she also dealt with it for the good of the people beside her and always smiling and being cheerful. He's rough around the edges but the softest simp for her. I love them and they would always be one of my favorite couples. Also, the whole friend group its amazing like they're the funniest and are always there for each other.

Lilah is one of the best books I have ever read. It got me into reading again. Its light hearted, beautiful and just a wonderful book. Its a book I go back to read a hundred times of how much comfort it gets me.

I would like to take a moment to formally apologize for every negative thing I have ever said about Wattpad. Although this is the first full Wattpad story I have ever read (and not just fanfiction) this is the best Wattpad story I have ever read. The grumpyxsunshine dynamic between Lilah and Grey was absolutely adorable and I was ADDICTED to the book. Their chemistry was perfect and each of the characters were so fully developed, I loved it (AND OAKLEE MY LOVE YOU HAD MY WHOLE HEART). If this were a physical book I would buy it in a HEARTBEAT.
