Mind blowing is a way to describe this book. The author brings readers through the historical account of sexualized violence against African American women in the South. It is a scary, sad story. As a student of political science it was a compelling story also of political organizing and which interests are brought to the forefront of political movements. I would suggest this book to people who are interested in political organizing, women's rights, or racial politics.
