The story didn't move ahead much in this volume but I loved getting the sort of prequel to the main narrative, especially because really deepened the characters and backgrounds of many of the characters.

I honestly liked the back and forth in between the past and the present. It was a bit confusing I'm so used to black pages when it comes to flashbacks in manga but I liked the story it told! I cannot wait for the rest! ლ(╹◡╹ლ)
