Dixon, Nash, and Griff have to be the most competitive non-sibling relatives in history! They'll have a bet on just about anything. The family motto is essentially "winning is everything"! Dixon is tired of being a doormat, he's far too gullible but the death of his late wife went some way to cure him of that. Now he has an army of people that help to filter out the time-wasters and gold-diggers. But one of those "filtered people" was Fiona. She just wanted to show him her Grans skincare line for seniors, now she has the opportunity for revenge! The last gift from their late gran is the Beckett's newest prize. They don't know what's in it or who it's for so, in typical family fashion, a challenge is laid down. Last Man Standing in Bachelorhood by Christmas wins - and the other cousins get to set the dates! Fiona is challening all of her sisters these days. She no longer trusts herself after her latest dating disaster but when she sees the horrid Dixon is on the app - well a girl needs revenge to keep her warm at night! She just has to pretend to be the complete antithesis of who she really is! I love a fake relationship story line. I was even happier that Fiona found out pretty early about what was going on, it made it easier to swallow that neither of them was stringing the other along. Both families are complete nuts! The Hartigans do a great line of protectors, even when the protectee isn't in any need of them! The Becketts are rivals but have all found their own niche in the family firm so they're not out for blood rivals - just sibling rivalry hijinks! I loved learning more about Dixon's former wife and Fiona's crappy dating history. I was so happy that Fiona learned "to thine ownself be true". There is nothing wrong with being a sap or giving second chances, as long as you don't allow to allow yourself to be willingly used. I am so up to find out how Nash the suave and Griff the Nerd in a muscled, tatted skin fall!!!
