This book was a bit longer than it needed to be…. 

The first half is very good, the second half drags on a bit 

It could have been a bit quicker paced at the part

Another day, another hockey romance book!!!!!! 🥰 I swear I thank my booksta friends for sharing reels and posts about this book! I can’t believe I missed it, but better late than never right????? 

Anyway, I just want to say I’m a major sucker for the reformed playboy-falls first-rescues hottie damsel in distress! Chase Carter may be playing from a rival team, but it didn’t stop him in making a move on Bailey James, sister of his rival team and ex of his rival team’s captain! (God, her ex is a grade A douche bag! So much drama thanks to him ugh) 

I love how their relationship went from rivals (Bailey is a sports nerd so she’s loyal to her team) - friends - lovers! Some of you might think 562 pages are long, but I honestly believe it was enough to show the progression in their relationship! There’s definitely sparks right off the bat, but neither of them jumped ship right off the bat! They took time to get to know each other, respected each other’s boundaries, and saved one another from any distress! 

As one can expect, this is a spicy college romance! I appreciate it when the mmc respected her boundaries! Since she came from a toxic relationship, he held back and waited for her! He’s also best friends with “toys”, so that’s a major plus! Goes to show that he’s a confident, self-assured man! 

If you’re looking for a college hockey romance with the right amount of swoon & spice, then go check this book out!!!! You won’t regret it! You’ll probably add Chase Carter in your roster!!!!! 😍😍😍😍

could have been half the book

Kristen could have played a much bigger villain role. We don’t find out what was wrong with bailey and why she was sick until literally the last two pages. And I can’t help but wonder why they didn’t allude to it more. I wanted a fun silly little book and that’s what it was. But we could have taken 12 chapters out and still achieved it. It was draining trying to make it to the end

Very fast, very cute,but could've come together better 

It was really cute and really fast paced which isn't usually an issue, but I found that near the end I wanted somethings to be better connected to the plot. Like, the Secrecy around Her parents debt, And her car accident. I felt like those things were so secretive to not have a climatic moment. It gave the impression of a plot point Being lost in the shuffle or forgotten and maybe that's why it isn't fully addressed
