I remember this one from when I was a kid. It's still a fun little read.

fourth grade advanced readers group, slay!

** spoiler alert ** the true confessions is a ver good book. if you like mild pirates and sea adventure this is a good book. i was very happy with the end charrolet is a very belivelble characther. this adventure shows her gradual change from a young eglish lady to a strong salior by the end of the book you know she will never be the same charrolet dayole that borded the ship again.

Gripping tale of a damsel at sea for the 9-12 year old. Feisty but mistaken young girl sets sail in a doomed journey and finds herself and some interesting companions in the process. Criticism would be quibble on the unlikeliness of the whole tale - requires extended suspended belief from an adult but younger readers probably have the imagination that it would take.
