Publicado originalmente: El Extraño Gato del Cuento Reseña primer libro: Becoming Alpha Es difícil reseñar un secuela porque o bien puedo soltarles un spoiler sin querer o que no entiendan de qué les hablo, por eso les recomiendo leer (y comentar) primero la reseña de Becoming Alpha y luego esta. Vamos, ve, yo te espero. ¿Ya? Ok Yo ya venía con una base bastante fangirlista (?) sobre este libro. Generalmente los segundos libros en una trilogía —hasta ahora Alpha Girl es una trilogía, los segundos libros tienden a ser un puente, puro relleno, y si bien Avoiding Alpha me gustó mucho, no me encantó como el anterior, y sip, tiene mucho de dónde decirse que es solo un puente. No es un mal libro, se lee bastante rápido, una de las razones es porque es corto, en GoodReads incluso aparece al final de la sinopsis como Novella, por lo que quizá haya sigo pensado inicialmente como historia corta y no un volumen en sí. Voy a resaltar mucho el trabajo de investigación de la escritora, al menos a mi parecer hubo investigación. Se menciona mucho Perú, bastante, y algunas de las cosas que Aileen vincula a los brujos en Avoiding Alpha son ciertas, algunas de ellas son costumbres de la Sierra de Perú, no tengo idea si cosas como "Pasar el Huevo" son también costumbres de otro país, pero me ha gustado que se mencionara, y lo mencionara bien, en un buen contexto. Incluso uno de los personajes llega a la Cordillera, es bastante simpático leerlo. Fangirleando como no tienen idea xD En lo negativo podría ser con lo que empiezo esta reseña, es un libro muy corto, muy puente. Si bien se desarrolla en un periodo de tiempo bastante corto, siento que me faltó algo. Me divertí leyéndolo, sólo que no conseguí la misma sensación que con Becoming Alpha. Conclusión: Me ha gustado, no tanto como el primero, pero aún así espero ansiosa el final de esta trilogía Twitter || Blog || Pinterest || Tumblr
