Holy hell did Lauren kick this trilogy off with a slow burning, addictive attraction that ignites so deep within it won’t die out no matter how hard you try to smother it! Reed and Georgina are PURE FIRE. The classic game of cat and mouse is brought to new heights as you see both players deal with their internal pulls of not only the physical but mental attraction that only we see as a reader. They may think this is only short term and that their raging inferno is under control, but we know it’s not, not by a long shot. I am so amped for Beautiful Liar. Bring it on.

This book is fun and angsty, with an interesting story. My only caveat is the multiple times 20% or more of the book is spent in one scene/conversation. Literally the last 24% was spent in the same room, in one conversation. Don’t get me wrong, the characters are compelling and I recommend this one, but I imagine it’s going to be one of those trilogies that should have been one book, or at the very least, a duet.
