I loved this book! It was entirely new information to me about a man I previously knew nothing about. Bass Reeves was a fascinating person, and this book details his life both thoroughly and concisely. I would like to go on and research him further after having read this. I also really loved this illustrations, they were bold and colorful and did some interesting things with perspective. 

I liked this book so much that I am planning on buying a copy for my dad, who I feel shares some of Bass Reeves' bad-assness. 

Would recommend for readers age 8 and up.
