I read her first book a couple years ago, and I really didn't care for it. I liked this one quite a bit more, but I have no idea if my feelings are because it's better than the first, or because I'm in a better mondset reading this one than I was reading the first, or because I know she's dead. Another quick read.

The author’s journey towards healing is challenging yet revelatory and inspiring. This book in addition to the one before is a testament to her strength in this gradual process of healing and betterment that she embarked upon years ago. As the author disentangles feedback loops, knee jerk reactions, and harmful behaviours that keep her locked in a cycle of self-abuse, you see her resilience shine through. This book reiterates the fact that we as humans are a constant work in progress, and that life goes on. I really like that the author does not try to paint a rosy all-will-be-well-in-the-end type of happy ending. She mentions how she is getting better than before but that does not imply that she is cured or that this is the end of her healing journey. This is an excellent book! I would recommend reading it.
