Contemplating between giving this 3.5 or a 4 star. I liked it but felt bored throughout most of the book. I also didn't like the main character, I mean she was alright but idk it was something off about her. I'll just stick with my original rating: 3 stars.

I read this book in one day. I had the time and the story engaged me.
Dee created a captivating narrative that while it did not shy away from difficult topics, also did not dwell on them. She broached real topics in a real way. Norah had to face the very real challenge of reentering the world after living, existing, in the world of cancer day in and day out. This made me think of a homebound student I taught a couple years ago, a student that I expected to see back in school this past year but who chose to homeschool instead. The world that I entered, a bit like Ayesha although not as a cancer survivor, for him consisted of his house. He had several siblings but those four walls made up most of his world. Returning to school would have been a lot like what Dee depicted for Norah.
I also loved the fact that Norah grew. Two young adult books in a row I have read that feature a dynamic protagonist. I hope this trend continues.
I highly recommend this book.
