A wonderful collection on Pym's diaries, notes and letters from her earliest days at Oxford to her passing. Lost love, service during the war, work life, success and failures as a novelist and finally her sudden fame towards the end of her life swiftly followed by poor health and decline. I gave this 5 stars because I'm grateful to have access to what was in this book and greatly enjoyed reading it but I wouldn't recommend it unless someone has read some (and liked) her novels. Because they are diary entries and notes and not strictly speaking memoirs some acronyms/short hand is confusing and illegible to me but in my opinion did not detract from the reading experience.
