for some reason this is a hot take but i love kira and i’m proud of all of her growth :’) i especially love her and aehako. 

i also think this was the most thrilling book in the series so far and i can’t wait to see the rest of harlow’s story!!

Loved it so much. Honestly cried. Can't wait to read the next one!!! Love the story line, which is so crazy.

Third book of the IPB series that I read in less than 15 days and reading them so closely together wasn't a good idea. I tend to get bored easily with new series and this wasn't the exception. 

Nonetheless, I liked Kira and absolutely adored Aehako, they are so cute together and I loved their relationship dynamic.

This series is the gift which keeps on giving. It's ridiculous and absurd but I just cannot help but hooked every time. It was nice to see that this time we don't just have the couple resonating and then banging. There was Kira questioning if she would be accepted by the aliens if they realised an illness as a child had left her infertile when they had all been celebrating the arrival of the women as they could finally have their own partners in a population with low female numbers. It really examined if the were being welcomed for the chance of sex or if they were genuinely welcome and helping. I liked that it approached things a little differently and our couple chose one another and planned to figure out the rest as it came because they cared for one another and we got to see what happened with the kidnapping aliens too, which was good wrapping that storyline up. I wonder what will happen next.

Ruby, you are killing me!!! Kira may be my favorite alien smutty story of this collection. 🥹😭 Aehako and Kira were absolutely delightful!

Throughout Kira's narrative, this concept of virginity is a delight to experience as it is so sensual and pure. As Kira struggles with her infertility, the reader is enraptured by Kira's story from the very first paragraph of BARBARIAN LOVER because even though her life before and after might be ✨completely✨ different, they are [still] tied together by one aspect to which she feels inadequate, and I love the fact that Aehako loves her regardless, knowing what he knows—even loves her without the resonance. It signifies that love is an emotion that is rooted in the heart and can only be felt there. 💖

Even in the absence of the cootie resonating, the absolute devotion between them is evident. In Kira's narrative, we see that resonance is not something automatic or instantaneous; in this alien world, some don't have it, and some feel isolated and inadequate as a result. In this lore, we see how resonance can become embedded "after the fact," much like love does. I loved it.

As Dixon continues to elevate all aspects of this little planet, you are compelled to read it to the end. It is flirty and contagious, and it continues to give you a wide range of sexual pleasures. It is enjoyable to observe each girl's sex life in its own way, and I particularly appreciate that they are not all portraying the same smutty scene over and over again.

BARBARIAN LOVER qualifies as Dixon's magnum opus. An enchanting love story. 💍🪐

I loved Kira and Aehako so much. So far I think they are my favourite couple. 

Aehako and his flirtatious behavior was everything, nothing stopped him from conquering the person who conquered his heart without knowing. And I loved that they found each other before that fated mates khui thing occuring. 

That's it. So wholesome. I wanted Kira to be happy, I got her and her dilemas.

Plot-wise everything solved too quickly for my taste so that's why I rated down to 3.75 instead of 4 like the CAWPILE system predicted.

Honestly.. so freaking cute. I was unprepared to love this series. I started it as a joke. Now I am so upset and crying (literally crying) over big blue aliens hooking up with women.. This story was like a we aren't fated mates but who cares because our love is wrong than that but we end up becoming fated mates because our love is so strong type shit. I think that review hits all of the stories major tropes. Also there's a craved to scale alien dick. The end.

Wonderful. Everytime I worry I won't like this couple more then the previous, I'm proven wrong. Though I won't lie Liz and Raahosh are still my favorite. This was GREAT. Two dynamic characters with a nice plot, see you in book 4!

           Kira & Aehako were so swoony & cute I couldn’t handle it! I loved that Aehako was the sort of jokester of the group that made him the perfect fit for Kira.

Gotta say for a while there I wasn’t sure how this would end but it is a HEA . I’m just confused as to how it happened, based on her medical history it just doesn’t add up, yes the khui could have “healed” her but I wish there was at least a scene of her going to the healer to get info or asked the computer when she was on the ship.

Either way I loved them together.

Okay, this one was much better than the second book, but not quite as good as the first book. I liked the lighthearted male character aehako and the sad-eyed female character Kira. I thought they were a beautiful match. I loved how Aehako chose Kira because he loved her, and not because of a mate bond. I also liked that the plot with the alien abductors from the first book was continued in this book. That plot was missing in the second one, and I was happy to get a bit more. I also liked the setup for a possible resonance mating with Harlow and an alien not from their tribe. I can't wait to see if that is what happens. Overall, I am really enjoying these books as a quick guilty pleasure read.
