3 stars, per usual. What can I say? It’s about a human girl wanting to fuck a big blue alien. I think I like Aehako the most out of the mmc’s in the series so far. Kira was okay/ nothing special. I actually did like her storyline but wish it had ended up differently and not the same as the two that came before this. I would’ve loved for her to still be “different” from the others at the end. Anyway… yeah it’s alien smut.

these stupid books somehow always make me cry like it's alien smut and yet i can't help but tear up at kira finally feeling loved and wanted and finding her person like it hits too close to home goddamn also harlow..? is she good..?

for some reason this is a hot take but i love kira and i’m proud of all of her growth :’) i especially love her and aehako.

i also think this was the most thrilling book in the series so far and i can’t wait to see the rest of harlow’s story!!

Ruby, you are killing me!!! Kira may be my favorite alien smutty story of this collection. 🥹😭 Aehako and Kira were absolutely delightful! Throughout Kira's narrative, this concept of virginity is a delight to experience as it is so sensual and pure. As Kira struggles with her infertility, the reader is enraptured by Kira's story from the very first paragraph of BARBARIAN LOVER because even though her life before and after might be ✨completely✨ different, they are [still] tied together by one aspect to which she feels inadequate, and I love the fact that Aehako loves her regardless, knowing what he knows—even loves her without the resonance. It signifies that love is an emotion that is rooted in the heart and can only be felt there. 💖 Even in the absence of the cootie resonating, the absolute devotion between them is evident. In Kira's narrative, we see that resonance is not something automatic or instantaneous; in this alien world, some don't have it, and some feel isolated and inadequate as a result. In this lore, we see how resonance can become embedded "after the fact," much like love does. I loved it. As Dixon continues to elevate all aspects of this little planet, you are compelled to read it to the end. It is flirty and contagious, and it continues to give you a wide range of sexual pleasures. It is enjoyable to observe each girl's sex life in its own way, and I particularly appreciate that they are not all portraying the same smutty scene over and over again. BARBARIAN LOVER qualifies as Dixon's magnum opus. An enchanting love story. 💍🪐

Honestly.. so freaking cute. I was unprepared to love this series. I started it as a joke. Now I am so upset and crying (literally crying) over big blue aliens hooking up with women.. This story was like a we aren't fated mates but who cares because our love is wrong than that but we end up becoming fated mates because our love is so strong type shit. I think that review hits all of the stories major tropes. Also there's a craved to scale alien dick. The end.

Wonderful. Everytime I worry I won't like this couple more then the previous, I'm proven wrong. Though I won't lie Liz and Raahosh are still my favorite. This was GREAT. Two dynamic characters with a nice plot, see you in book 4!

Another fun read! I think Kira and Aehako might be my fav couple now - they are honestly just too cute. Sudsy and fun these books have been the perfect palette cleanser for me and I’ve really enjoyed them!

I was really looking forward to this pairing and it didn't dissapoint - serious Kira and was matched perfectly to flirty Aehako and I loved seeing their romance blossom. Great third book in the series.

This ones my favorite so far!! I loved how action packed and intense it was! This is such a fun world and I can’t wait to see what happened to Harlow!

I’m hooked How the fuck, did TickTock convince me to start reading the series. And actually like it. Aliens +6+ no plot equals reading four books in a day.

** spoiler alert ** Kira & Aehako were so swoony & cute I couldn’t handle it! I loved that Aehako was the sort of jokester of the group that made him the perfect fit for Kira. Gotta say for a while there I wasn’t sure how this would end but it is a HEA . I’m just confused as to how it happened, based on her medical history it just doesn’t add up, yes the khui could have “healed” her but I wish there was at least a scene of her going to the healer to get info or asked the computer when she was on the ship. Either way I loved them together.

How?! Ugh 3 in and this is my favorite. Aehako is the freaking best! This one so entertaining (I have said this already but it’s true) it was funny and sweet in all the right ways. I highly recommend reading this if you are on the IPB path 🙌 Off to book 4! Welcome to the blue dick train 💙

Read this to see what all the hype was about. Not going to say I won't read the next one ;). However, I don't think the appeal for this book come from literariness but out of entertainment and that is why it is so popular.
