I definitely enjoyed this one more than the first. But I just have a hard time getting on board with them only knowing each other a month and being in "love". The reason I enjoyed the relationship in the Kate Daniels series is that it grew in a more believable fashion than this one. The world is still one I love learning more about and I will still be reading the next books in the series.

It moved slower than the first book in the series, but it was still good. One complaint about the narrator was that she used the same voice for Jack (in the first book) as she did for William, so it made William seem like he had a childish voice/attitude. I think I would've enjoyed it more reading than audio.

This is a book I picked up as Borders was going out of business. I figured for a dollar I would give it a try. And I was really pleasantly surprised. The premise of the book is interesting. There is a world existing between our world - the Broken - and the world of magic - the Weird - and that's where the outcasts and exiles try to make a life - the Mire. Considering, I figure my own life is a little broken and weird at times, it seemed to fit. The 'boy' and 'girl' are interesting and have their own problems in getting together on top of the major conflict going on in the Mire. Now I have to go back and find Book 1 and read it.

This book came highly recommend and did not disappoint. This is the second book in the Edge series. It develops the characters and the continuing story very well.
