The best book in the series and the one book that actually has a plot. So Becka Mack can actually write emotional book and three dimensional characters. I just wish she would do this for the rest of her books. <br /><br />And for the first time, I don't feel like this book is a dread to complete.

  I'm a sucker for found family and this book got me. The relationship between all of them AND their wives is beautiful.  I really glad the author made the girls & guys friends separately and together.  It's so sweet to read the lengths they went for Adam in this. There were some parts that felt silly like the talking 1yr old and the pace of the relationship is FAST but Whatever negative I was feeling about this story vanished when we got to the dick angels lmaooo like ykw? Hell yeah

Unravel Me is the best book of the series and you can't convince me otherwise. What on earth did this author put in this book to make it so good? After the previous two books being more more inner angst, it was so refreshing to have a story that just delivered so much depth and heart. The moment I started reading this book, I knew that I didn't want to let go of it. From their first meet cute (which was beyond adorbs), to their mutual love of animals, sweet friendship turning into more, the endearing courting moments and the tender character vulnerability is what made this book such an impactful story. I am honestly speechless about this one here, and is one of the best reads of the year, hands down! 

Adam Lockwood is one of the most eligible bachelors but unlike some of his friends, he is always searching for love and is the true heart of the group. But he has been constantly hurt by women. While taking his dog, Bear, for a run in the woods, he runs into Rosie, who is taking her own dog on a walk, and they literally run into each other and sparks fly between the two. Rosie and Adam form a tight connection and when they meet up again, they are both willing to fight for their relationship. Even though they both have been hurt, they learn to let go and trust one anothers with truths. But Adam is keeping a secret, that isn't on the surface a big deal, but for Adam, he doesn't want to be another hockey athlete, he wants to matter to someone and is afraid of losing what he has with Rosie, but will Rosie be able to love him and trust when the secrets are revealed and put on the table? Or will Adam lose her forever? 

“All I’ve ever wanted is you, Adam. Even the parts you’re scared to share.” She takes my face in her hands, her touch tender and compassionate, just like the way she looks at me. “We have to get comfy with the uncomfy parts of ourselves before we can really know who we are and love that person, before we can let someone else know and love us. I want to know you, but I want you to know you more. Then you can share that person with me. Okay?”

There were so many elements to this story that combined into such an impactful story. Let us start with our characters. So first we have Adam Lockwood. He is one sexy goalie, but he also has vulnerabilities. He is so kind and thoughtful and while he can be a beast in the sheets, he wants love and affection and to matter to someone and not be seen as a checkbook. He is the heart of the friend group Then we have Rosie, who unlike Adam, grew up in foster care and was never chosen first. She created her own family with her son who is a toddler now, she dreams of caring for animals and is determined to fight for a life for her son. She has her own doubts on whether she will have come first for anyone. Adam and Rosie are literally two lost souls fated to be together. They both are kind and emotionally hurt, we see them learn to heal with each other and embrace the beautiful love that they have together. But their journey won't be full of easy roads, they have to learn to unload and trust all their fears and reservations with each other. Their romance is truly magical from the first to last page. The way that these two connect and what they struggle through, literally had my heart breaking, I was sobbing buckets of tears. Just seeing how hurt they are and just wanting to be loved and to truly matter to someone. And I truly enjoyed the minimal inner conflict. While there is some conflict its not too dragged out which I appreciated and seeing all the happy couple page time was a true highlight of the story for me. 

“Hey.” I take her hands in mine, pulling her back to me. “We’ll never be right for everyone, but we’ll be perfect for the right person. And when that person comes along, there is no choice. It just…is. We exist exactly the way we are, with exactly the right people, because there is no other way to be.”

But what especially worked for me was two factors. But really the way that our leads are so pro active in how they are attentive to each other was magnificent. Seeing the way that this heroine was so honest and good to our hero and how she is willing to fight for him and trusts in him when it truly matters that someone stands by his side melted my heart! Seriously....I NEED more heroines written like this. This is how I need my heroines written, even if she had pink hair lol But she is a wonderful partner and mother, so it more than made up for it. Then we have the hero who is so loyal and good to the bone, he is more serious of the group, and a bit of a shy one but knows how to please his girl. (Its always the quiet ones isn't it? LOL) But especially how he is as a co parent to her little boy....from the very beginning, made me literally melt in my reading chair. What really makes this book so impactful is how in tuned these two are for each other, and they complimented each other so well. That is what is so wonderful about this author, she really writes pairing where they really work together. 

Now I’m going to give him the happy ending he deserves. Every day, I’m going to choose to respect him. Every day, I’m going to choose to lift him up instead of tear him down. Every day, I’m going to choose to stand by his side. Every day, I’m going to choose to love him. Every damn day, Courtney, I’m going to choose him, and he’s going to choose me back. And that’s our happy ending.”

A true jewel of a listen! If you love audiobooks, then I can't recommend these audiobooks enough. They are so brilliantly done and the emotion is so well showcased.

Its a deeply moving story that will bring literal modern age love to the page in a way that resonates on a level of such beauty and magnificence of what is truly right for two people. A GEM OF TANTALIZING BEAUTY OF THE HEART!

Adam and rosie's story is one of acceptance and self-love and self-discovery. Getting lost in one's roles in life (like rosie being a mom, adam being a goalie) is easy, but there lies something beautiful when one strips off of that label and be whoever they want to be. 

This book def has the author's writing formula! It was nice to see the vipers to be in one place again, but carter needs to chill tf down! He has this use main character energy where at some point i just wanted him to stfu. Lol i guess the found family trope is strong on this one! Any reader of this would feel the warmth that it brings, but that's just it. 


Just some icks: It took me forever to finish this book, because some parts felt dragging. Idk if it's because Adam's story has been hyped for so long so there's this level of expectation. // Courtney is one crazy girl. Idk why the author decided to include that part around the end. So anti-climactic.

Let’s not forget bear and piglet ???? I never thought i would love fictional dogs as much as i love real dogs, i swear if i’m nit scared of animals, i would het a dog just like these two adorable ones..

Carter became better and more annoying here with his terrible good ideas that only makes you laugh. 

And let’s talk about connor and lily ??? In love. That’s the only word i have, connor knew as soon as he saw adam that he would be his dada. And lily, my only regret is that i didn’t get to see her full backstory. 

I only got one thing that annoyed me tbh, is that adam told his friends (who are really more than his friends, their his family but eh) everything. I do believe somethings should be kept private. 

Rosie, a soon to be vet has the biggest heart i’ve ever read about, and the way she thinks ? 🔛🔝 cuz honestly, i understand her. Some ppl might say she’s exaggerating some things but it’s her way of thinking and no one gets a say in this. She was kept in foster care for 8 years without being “chosen” by a family, she craved that and she got it when connor was born 🥰 (well kinda, it got completed when adam’s friends welcomed her in their lovely/messy  family) 

And regret n2- is WHY DIDN’T ADAM HIT BRANDON (connor’s piece of idiot of a dad) MORE ? I WAS READY TO BREAK HIS BONES WTH ? LEAVING HIS SON LIKE THAT 😒. 

Would i reread this book again ? This series again ? Definitely.
