Sweet Devil
Reviews

I received an eARC of this book in exchanger for an honest review. All thoughts and options are my own. Finally, a book I was really able to sink my teeth into. It has been a really long time for me since I was really able to sink my teeth into a really good book that didn’t let me go. This book 100% did that for me. I swear to you the first night I started reading this it felt like I was reading for five minutes and I was already on chapter 11, it was that good. It totally had me on the edge of my seat. Though I haven’t read all five books in the series, so far only 1, 4 & now this one, I knew I was going to really like this book. I couldn’t wait for Rhys and Sera’s story. I knew it was going to be epic and this was just that. I thought it was extremely easy to really fall in love with both Rhys and Sera. The back-and-forth, chemistry and emotion we get from these two is so heavy. At times it feels like too much but then they do something that makes me so swoon worthy and they get me back in their grips. I definitely think that the last 70% of the book felt really really rushed. I wish it would have slowed down a little bit, but other than that, I really enjoyed this book. This series is definitely best read in order, in my opinion it isn’t technically necessary. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I wasn’t ready for this one… Rhys and Sera knocked me off my feet. Gah, I’m still reeling a bit after reading! Sweet Devil is an incredibly apropos title for this story. One minute I was laughing at the shared pranks the next I was reaching for a drink because holy THIRST- then I was dropped head first right into a heap of feels. Sera did not disappoint. She is just as fiery and strong willed as she’s always been but you get to see the person under the crown. Perfectly put together on the outside yet on the inside she’s yearning to be loved. Truly loved for who she is and not what she represents. Her personal strength builds through out her journey, leaving her mentally bare and showing her just how deep she’s going to have to dig to get what she wants. Rhys. The Devil of Pembroke… I just. I don’t even think I can get into how much I adore his character without giving anything away. He is perfect for Sera, exactly what she needs to shine at her fullest potential and he gives her EVERYTHING. All of him in the end. Pushing Sera’s buttons isn’t simply a game for Rhys, he wants to see her feel, truly feel. Let’s just say he succeeds, lord does he succeed. Rhys has held so much in for far too long. My heart ached for him. Every once in a while you have a book that just sneaks up on ya and Becker Gray definitely accomplished that with this story. I would’ve never guessed the depth of emotion Sweet Devil would bring out… but it was totally needed for the series. This final book of the crew really solidified my love for all the characters.
