Tessa has always been an outcast, having to wear elbow-length gloves... and having visions with whoever and whatever she touches. What makes it worse, she has to move from LA to a remote town in Texas where she gets caught up with werewolves.

All in all, it was an okay story but that's all it was. It was very predictable, characters were one dimensional, and Tessa kept complaining! Even the simple things was something she wasn't able to grasp, and it was irritating. The only things that I liked was that it was based in a boarding school, and the pack dynamic was interesting. What makes it worse, I liked Imogene more than Tessa because she had more fire than her.

Me gusta recomendar libros, aunque con la fantasía y paranormal (nunca sé como clasificarlos) tengo cierta cosilla por no hacerlo, no a todos nos gusta lo mismo y estos géneros es un poco más difícil. Pero con Becoming Alpha tengo que hacerlo, simplemente no puedo fangirlear sola. Claro, siempre y cuando se mantengan alejadas de Dastien todo estará bien. Nadie saldrá mordido.

Como habrán sospechado el libro me encantó, es cómico, ágil, buena narración personajes bastante buenos. Es un libro ligero, sí, pero eso no le quita ningún tipo de crédito, es bueno, te lo lees en dos tardes y necesitarás el siguiente.

Ya dije que los personajes me gustaron, amé a la protagonista, es un poquito fastidiosa a veces, la verdad es histérica en algunos momentos, pero de una manera cómica, le cae un tonelada de rocas encima y encuentra la manera de, no buscarle el lado bueno, pero sí una broma de eso. Tiene un sentido del humor un tanto negro. Lo que me gustó también fue que ella ha sido rechazada toda su vida, llamada "Freaky Tessa" por sus visiones y en lugar de volverla emo, la volvió un poco descarada. Tengo debilidad por las protagonistas descaradas, creo que es porque soy muy tímida. Eso no quiere decir que no tiene su lado vulnerable, al contrario, ella lo reconoce. Tessa es uno de esos personajes que tiene defectos y puede caer mal a los que buscan protagonistas que todo el tiempo se victimizan o que lo único importante es tener al chico, en una parte Tessa se burla de eso, a su manera sarcástica, me encantó.

Ahora Dastien. *suspiro* Por lo general este tipo de libros, el que se lleva todo la gloria es casi siempre el chico sexy, a la protagonista a veces ni la notamos. Dastien Laurent es una gran, ENORME motivación para leer Becoming Alpha. Soy una persona de gatos y de vampiros, pero siempre reconoceré que los hombres lobo de vez en cuando me tienen babeando. Es que mientras los vampiros están como "Aléjate-de-mi-que-soy-malo-malote-y-arruinaré-tu-vida-yo-lo-sé", los hombres lobos están "LET-ME-LOVE-YOU---LET-ME-LOVE-YOU"

Y esas son cosas superficiales del libro, hay mucho, mucho más entre sus páginas, magia, vampiros, muertes... Y rock.

Me encantó todo del libro, soy una fangirl total ahora mismo, lo malo es que tengo que esperar hasta Mayo del próximo año para su continuación. Espero que lo lean y les guste tanto como a mí, vengan a contarme y fangirleemos.

Decent read, definitely more fit for Young adult audiences, the leading lady, Tessa, is definitely a high schooler and thrown into some chaos. If you want a decent werewolf story with drama and some healthy cheesiness while still having a fun story to follow along to, this is a good one.

Also - major bonuses for having a healthy family to leading lady dynamic, I hadn't realized how rare that was in most of my recent reads until I noticed it in this book. Healthy sibling dynamics too? Love it.

2.75* this was ok, nice story, good characters. Like the magic aspect but didn't like the stubbornness and dumb decision the main character made. Glad the first book was free!

I was not expecting much, but was I pleasanty surprised. First few pages in and I was totally hooked, I could not put it down. I fell inlove with the main characters and the story line. The book is well written and it kept me wanting to know what happened next.
