Overall it was a really good book. But you could easily tell it was written by a man. It would be unnecessarily sexual at times. And it was strange to me how she had memory problems but could remember exact dialogue from earlier in the day. 

I was getting pretty bored of it towards the end which is why it took be a while to actually finish it but I was presently surprised by the creative twist ending.

Leading a life where amnesia is the only permanent mark is almost like being a stranger in a strange land. An identity lost, life forgotten, and scars that cannot be traced. One can only imagine the horror that is unleashed with every sunrise. The ending had me up on my feet and pacing up and down. A must read for all.

I loved the way S.J. Watson played with my mind. What happened to Christine? Why can't she remember? Can her husband, Ben, be trusted? I loved trying to figure out what had happened as Christine remembered little clues and I gained more information. I look forward to reading more of S.J. Watson's work.

This book was a decent mystery with good twists and turns. Some parts were predictable but overall I enjoyed it. Readers will want Chrissy to figure out a way of getting back her life and her loved ones.

I normally hate it when I am able to correctly predict the "big mystery" in mystery/thriller novels, but with this, nah. I just felt extremely satisfied after having read that damn I was fucking right!

It was a little slow-paced at first and while the whole amnesia thing piqued my interest, I can't help but be reminded of Drew Barrymoore in 50 First Dates (read summaries of it online if you haven't watched the film and have no intentions of watching it any time soon). I quickly brushed off 311's Love Song off my head and pushed through with my reading. 

It wasn't as much of a page-turner as I had hoped because if it was, I surely would have finished it in a day. But clearly, it took me a few days (not including the days that I actually didn't read a word of this). Despite not meeting that one expectation, I would say that this is an overall amazing and exciting novel that I would definitely recommend to people.

This was a novel that, despite the premise, I honestly wasn’t sure whether or not I’d enjoy. I’m not sure if it was the amnesia or the way it story itself was formatted but I was 50/50 about it. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised and overall thoroughly enjoyed it! It definitely kept me guessing up until the final reveal in the last section. This is definitely a solid 4/5!

Wow. I read this book in one day. It was definitely a page-turner, especially toward the end. As you read it, you start to realize that things don't add up right. You wonder who is telling Christine the truth - the husband or the doctor. I highly recommend this edge-of-your-seat book!

Quite a compelling & quick read. It captured me right away with the unreliable narrator and the creeping sense of terror that doesn't really let up. That said, things get a bit unbelievable and by process of elimination you can figure out who the real culprit might be. The ending is predictable as any psychological thriller from the 90s and gets bogged down in silly details. Yet even though I was rolling my eyes at this trashy little novel, it's still a fun ride.

This book was extremely slow and seemed to stretch on for forever. I do have to say I intended to give this 2 stars but the ending did catch me by surprise and had a faster pace than the rest of the book. The time line was extremely confusing to me. It kept going back and forth and I never knew what was present or past or preset or what was being read from her journal sometimes.

Didn't mind it, good premise but it did get a bit repetitive and slow in the middle 40%.

Ending was alright, not a jaw dropping revelation. Figured out quite a few bits throughout and I feel like if I'd taken longer to read it and really thought about it I probably would have guessed most of it but that's not a terribly bad thing.

Overall alright, may rethink this however once the book hangover has worn off.

This started out a little slow for me. I felt like at around 100 pages in I could tell pretty much how the book was going to progress and ultimately how it would end. I was wrong, a few twist towards the end and I found myself powering through the last half of this read. 

Overall I would say this was a decent enough read. Nothing that was too impressive or captivating. Not really excited to see the movie, looks even more lack luster than the book was.

Something has happened to our character that makes her continue to forget everything she learned about herself the day before. The only thing that saves her is her diary. Every day she wakes up she looks at the man in the bed with her and does not know who in the world he is. She looks in a mirror and sees photos from her past taped up around the frame. She gets a call and someone tells her to look in the closet to find her diary. We get to read that over and over again. Just imagine what it would be like to live it over and over again.
And there’s a pretty good mystery that we get to watch unravel too.

I have mixed feelings on this book. The concept is so intriguing, and while yes, there were moments where I was kept on my toes and dying to know what happens next, those moments were few and far between. For me personally, the book didn't really pick up until page 277, and by that point I was just waiting for it to end, because I found myself not enthralled with the characters. For the most part it was well written, but there were some instances where the writing seemed choppy, and didn't flow very well. There were multiple times where I had to go back to the previous page and re-read the beginning of the sentence to make sure that I hadn't skipped a page. There were also some points that I thought just weren't needed, and not exactly helpful in driving the narrative.

I randomly picked this book up at a thrift store with no dust jacket so I had no idea what it was about. IT BLEW MY MIND!! at first I didn’t understand why it was a thriller, but the last 100 pages took me on the ride of my life! At one point I actually yelled out “what is this book”????? It is so amazingly written, as a person who’s mind often wanders when reading, this one held me in tight!

I was between a 3 and 4... and honestly for most of the middle of the book I would have given it a 3 only because it got to be so repetitive. But then the end was such a good twist that I barely saw coming pushed it up to a 4. I would have liked the book to go into the aftermath some more... or maybe some more fighting near the end. The middle was too long and the end was too short :( but the suspense was great. I was totally in Christine's head and basically followed each swing of emotions with her.

I enjoyed this book immensely!!! I wish I had read it before I had seen the movie. the movie was good but the book was so much better!!! it was so detailed and planned out. The only thing I found it did not particularly enjoy was some of the adult content. I suppose it should have been expected, but still, I didn't feel like it was necessary or needed.

I really enjoyed this book. Along the lines of many of the bestsellers such as Gone Girl and The Girl on The Train, this suspenseful thriller keeps you guessing at every turn. The writing has a tendency to be repetitive occasionally, mostly because of the way the plot is, having a main character with memory loss and regaining memories based on a diary, therefore it was pretty easy to overlook after a while. The ending was perfect for the story and let the reader make the conclusion that worked best for them. A highly suggested read.

(spoiler free) What a creepy book! The whole time I was reading it I had a slight feeling of dread and couldn't shake it off, and now I know why. Amazing. Well thought out and well-written.
I've read other reviews that say they saw the ending coming - well done. I couldn't. Maybe it's because I don't normally read crime fiction so I'm not used to the clichés and twists they usually entail, but for me this book kept me in suspense throughout. I only wish the ending was a bit more detailed, rather than only a few pages. I'd love to get a sequel to see what happened after.
