Through a series of charming, self-deprecating vignettes that take place in North America, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey, Sezen navigates the messy conflicts of her life with all the honesty, humour and spunk that she can muster. The overarching plot is one of coming-out; something that Selzen must do more than once. This title fascinatingly chronicles the different responses she received when trying to do so to both her friends, people versed in the norms of mainstream Western culture and her parents, Turkish immigrants living in Germany.
