This book gave me all the Cruel Beauty but with a dash of smut vibes and I’m here for it! 

It took me a bit to get into, but I’m honestly glad I kept reading because the story is just so good! I love this world and I’m excited to read more about it. Jak is so perfect. I cannot wait for more!

4.5 stars. First book of 2022!

This is honestly exactly what I needed. I was feeling stressed about my next quarter at college starting tomorrow and this book helped me take my mind off of it. It took me a little while to get into the book, but once things started getting angsty and spicy, I was having a great time! I really didn't want to put it down. While the writing wasn't anything special, I don't feel lyrical writing is warranted for this story (The main thing I didn't like about the writing was how often spit was referred to lol). I definitely think that this book could expand on character development and world building, but the story still held my attention without all the details. I thought that the 18+ scenes were really great and though the characters had some sizzling chemistry. It seems there will be more books in this world, either with these characters or a companion novel; either way I'll be picking it up, along with other books by this author :)

The beginning was good, the language was easy and I liked the smut, but the ending was boring bcause it seemed so obvious and idk... I eas happy when I was finally done. There were also some typos in it wich really annoyed me, sometimes there where even unfinished sentences. It seemed like the author just wanted to finish the book because he got bored of it ir something. 
I'm so sorry, I didn't like it.

This was a fun, captivating retelling of the beauty and the best!!

I liked the way the story flowed, the pace was also quick which was refreshing. The romance was sweet and the magic was intriguing, however, they weren't as fleshed out as I would have hoped they'd be. Overall the story was good and the smut was enjoyable!! The book was a great quick read that was hard to put down!!
