It's one of those books with such a great story - plot that you instantly think it should be made into a movie ASAP with all of Hollywood 
's budget and bell and whistles.

Regarding a deeper book review, the characters are interesting enough that you let them take you on the adventure / mystery.

The plot has enough material to keep you interested, i read the book in 3 sit downs. And the plot keeps getting more interested as the book moves forward and it also keeps getting thicker.

As the plot advances it becomes very predictable but has enough layers to keep you interested. The story in general is quite a piece of imagination and found it very entertaining.

Do recommend although it might be longer than your average thriller. Regarding the horror genre, this movie is as scary as a Blade or Twilight. Although it tries to sell you in a super macabre ambiance, you just don't feel scared, at least no more than watching Goonies.
