World politics have changed-and so has the realm of spy craft. The rules are murky. Master spies Elda Ainsworth and Tosh Chelovek are loyal to their countries and actively working against each other to achieve their assigned missions for the United States and Russia. The United States government has decided to eliminate Elda's Black Ops team, and has targeted Elda for assassination. Tosh's boss, is also considering dispatching Tosh and taking over his team. Hunted through Washington DC, Wales, Russia, and India, Tosh and Elda join forces to augment their teams and eliminate the killers stalking them. In the midst of this, Elda and her team, and Tosh and his team, move forward to right what they see as wrong. Needing additional resources, aside from her existing group of Charlie Burlamachi and Ashok Bhatt, Elda asks Korinna Federov to come out of retirement and help her. Tosh engages his trusty team of his niece, Snezhana Chelovek, his assassin Anatoly Petrov and his computer whiz, Stas Garin. The two teams are pitted against each other in the war of disinformation, but work together to eliminate moles who are deleterious to both Russia and the United States. The clarity of the past is gone. The old Moscow Rules have been lost. Buried beneath an unfamiliar avalanche of new adversaries and lack of rules, Elda struggles to find her North Star while Tosh struggles to keep his place in the Kremlin. Tosh and Elda keep a firm hand on steering their groups of spies. The teams rely on Cold War techniques, modern cyber craft, advanced weaponry and their own skills to complete their missions. Ashok and Stas display their superior computer skills, while Anatoly and Snezhana show off their skills with the use of poisons and weapons. Charlie has grown into Elda's second in command and shows promise of surpassing her mentor.
