Grant it, the main character isn’t going through the best time in her life, what with the family business in jeopardy, but it’s the road to the happy ending that makes it a feel good book. The town of Icicle Falls, for the most part, rallies around Samantha and tries to help her, and it was a great feeling. I really loved getting to know the many characters in this book. Samantha was a strong female character, though not without faults of course. She would rather put the blame of her situation on others. Specifically Blake Preston, who I happened to really love. Blake is a great guy and I felt really bad for him every time Samantha would be mean to him! He was like her whipping post, poor guy! And he does a grand gesture for her in the end, which I love. I love grand gestures. I also enjoyed Samantha’s sisters and their possible love interests. I’m really looking forward to reading about them soon! Really, there were quite a few possibilities of pairings in this town that I look forward to reading about them too. While I did enjoy this book, I wasn’t completely swept away by it. I liked it, and will look for future books in the series, but may not make them priority right away. In any case, if you’re looking for a book that will make you smile and feel good, you should totally check this one out!
