“It is psychotic to draw a line between two places. [...] Psychotic to lose something forever.”

how raw but restrained, pieced and unpieced and then pieced again; much importance in placing a physicality to the work, along with the historical context of it, full of physicality—movement, geography—of what displacement brings upon the mind of an individual. it felt like i was there with her, displaced too, left in her garden. i read it again this morning after i finished it the night before, it's so short that it's easy to finish it in one sitting and say well that's that, but parts of this felt shaky to me, with the only solution being to try and solidify my understanding with another look. proved fruitful even if it still feels incomplete. likely to revisit
