There are probably 15 pages of interesting material in the 243 pages of random thoughts, travels to unadventurous places, scientific descriptions of animals we don't understand and stories of places where the temperature dropped x degrees in x hours.

I'm normally a fan of these niche-y non-fiction books, but I found this one to be poorly organized and full of too many uninteresting chronicles of the author's travels. Let me summarize the book for you. Weather is crazy! It's amazing how some animals survive the cold. In the past, people didn't understand as much about the cold as we do now. Did I mention that weather is crazy?
