feels very much like a second collection... watterson is hitting is stride, but he's also drawing toward assumed audience expectations and revisiting some of the same ideas.
love the metatextual strips and the occasional serious ones are a treat too. it's otherwise just as good as the first run, but missing something frantic

Man, it's been so long since I read these. The nostalgia was super strong for this one, though I am always partial to the Mutant Snowmen volume if memory serves. Still, you can't go wrong with a little Calvin and Hobbes. It's such a classic comic series.

Honestly, calvin & hobbes comics are essential for some light reading. This collection was funny, thoughtful and made for delightful reading. 5 stars & an A for Calvin & his relatablility.
