I've read a few books now that discuss Muslim conversions, and I've enjoyed every one of them. The consistent theme in all of them seems to be that God communicates through dreams in the lives of those that are deeply entrenched in the Muslim world. The most notable takeaway from this book was that Biquis had such a close relationship with God, that she could sense His presence on a moment by moment basis, and she would make decisions and corrections based on that feeling. She stated clearly that the key to her close walk with her Savior was her obedience. When she failed to obey, she could sense His presence diminishing, and when she repented, His presence would increase. The book was a great encouragement to walk closely with our Savior, and a true testimony of someone that took the narrow path and withstood tremendous community and family pressure to remain. 

Having said all that, I gave it three stars because I thought it was a slow read. There are some exciting things that take place, but those are few and far between, and most of the time the story takes place in her ancestral home with her servants waiting on her and her grandson.
